Austria Peak is a fantastic full-day hike in the Royal Adean Range in a region of lakes and peaks known as Condoriri located in La Paz–Bolivia.
Description: Austria Peak 5350 m. (17,552 ft.) is the best acclimatization exercise before attempting to ascend higher altitude mountains. Its strategic position makes it the best natural viewpoint from where you can observe the mountains, glaciers, and lagoons of the Condoriri, and a large part of the Royal Andean Range.
From the summit you enjoy the best views such as Lake Titicaca, the Royal Andean Range, the Condoriri, the north face of Huayna Potosi 6088 m. (19,973 ft.) among other views.
Austria Peak is a full-day hike for anyone who feel like walking more than 5000 m., the hike lasts around 5 – 6 hours. It starts at 4500 m (14,763 ft.). and ends at 5350 m (17,552 ft.).

ITINERARY:
Departure 07:30 a.m. at Jiwaki agency or from your hotel. The drive is from La Paz city to Base Camp (La Rinconada) approximately 3 hours by transport.
Next, we prepare for the trekking, and we will climb slowly until we reach 4700 m. (15.419ft.), this is also where the impressive ChiarKhota Lagoon is.Therefore, there we will take a comforting rest, at the same time we will enjoy our snacks, as we will continue walking upward until we reach (5350 m./17,552ft). Likewise, this is where the Austria Peak is located, we will make a brief stop.After enjoying the wonderful view, we will return to the lagoon. Finally, it will be time to return to the city, arriving in La Paz around 19:00 p.m.
