07:00 a.m. – Meeting at our office or at the previously agreed meeting point (e.g., hotel or plaza).
We will depart by vehicle toward the Andean highlands, on a journey of approximately 3 hours outside the city until we reach Rinconada (4,500 m / 14,763 ft), the starting point of our hike.
We’ll begin with a gentle uphill walk of about one hour, passing a small lagoon, until we reach the beautiful Chiar Khota Lake (4,700 m / 15,419 ft), the largest in the area.
From there, we’ll start the more challenging ascent to Pico Austria (5,350 m / 17,552 ft), which will take us approximately 3 additional hours. Upon reaching the summit, we’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views: the majestic Condoriri Mountain, shaped like a condor with outstretched wings, Lake Titicaca, the western face of Huayna Potosí, and numerous peaks of the Cordillera Real.
The descent back to Rinconada will take around 1 hour and half.
Finally, we’ll board our vehicle for the return trip to La Paz, with an estimated travel time of 2.5 hours.

Austria Peak (5,350 m / 17,552 ft) is one of the most rewarding full-day hikes in the Condoriri region, part of the stunning Cordillera Real in La Paz, Bolivia. Known for its breathtaking mountaineering scenery, this area is dotted with glacial lakes and jagged peaks, offering a true high-Andes experience.
Austria Peak is widely regarded as the ideal acclimatization hike for those planning to climb higher summits in the region. Its privileged location provides one of the best natural viewpoints in the Cordillera Real. From the summit, you'll enjoy panoramic views of the Condoriri Massif, Lake Titicaca, the north face of Huayna Potosí (6,088 m / 19,973 ft), and much more.
This hike is perfect for adventurers eager to reach over 5,000 meters in a single day. The route begins at approximately (4,500 m /14,763 ft) and ascends to (5,350 m. / 17,552 ft.), taking about 5 to 6 hours round-trip. The trail offers a steady and scenic ascent, making it an excellent acclimatization route for future high-altitude climbs.

1.- Confirmation and payment:
- Once the tour is confirmed with payment, the confirmation is valid only for the date and time specified.
- It is the customer's responsibility to be in suitable physical condition for the activity and to take necessary precautions to avoid illness or injury that could result in missing the tour.
2.- Tour cancellations :

From the booking date until 2 days before the tour:
A 30% cancellation fee will be applied to the total price. -
1 day before the tour, until 8:00 PM:
A 50% cancellation fee will be applied to the total price. -
1 day before the tour, from 8:00 PM to 11:59 PM:
An 80% cancellation fee will be applied to the total price. -
On the day of the tour (departure day):
A 100% cancellation fee will be applied to the total price.
3.- Postponements:

One day or more before the tour date, until 5:00 PM:
No penalty (0% of the total price). -
One day before the tour date, from 5:00 PM to 11:59 PM:
A 30% penalty will be applied to the total price. -
On the day of the tour (departure day):
A 100% penalty will be applied to the total price.
4.- Insurance:
- Customers participate in the tour at their own risk and full responsibility.
- The tour price does not include travel insurance for accidents, life coverage, or medical expenses of any kind. It is strongly recommended that participants obtain their own travel insurance before the tour.
5.- Climatological Factors:
- The customer is responsible for selecting their travel date.
In the event that the tour can not be completed due to adverse weather conditions, no refunds will be issued.
