Trekking Condoriri, this trek is located in La Paz – Bolivia, cordillera real and northwest of Mountain Huayna Potosi 6088m.
Our trek begins in the scenic Condoriri region of lakes and glaciated peaks and includes the opportunity to summit Pico Austria (5350 meters).
We then continue through the Andean highlands along the spine of the Cordillera Real and camp at the base of the imposing west face of Huayna Potosi.
Trekking Condoriri is for all the people who would like to enjoy spectacular landscape and breathe pure air at the mountains aroud 4700 m.a.s.l..
This trek is highly recomended for acclimatization and get physically prepared, for future climbs.

ITINERARY:
We begin our adventure at 7:30 am, departing from our office and driving for approximately three hours out of the city and across the sweeping Andean highlands. Our road climbs gradually until we reach Rinconada (4,500 m), the starting point of our trek.
From Rinconada, we hike for about one hour on a gentle uphill trail, passing a series of small alpine lakes before arriving at the beautiful Chiar Khota Lake (4,700 m). From here, the path becomes steeper as we begin the ascent of Pico Austria (5,350 m). The climb takes roughly three hours, rewarding us at the summit with an unforgettable panorama: Mount Condoriri, shaped like a condor with wings outstretched, the shimmering waters of Lake Titicaca, the west face of Huayna Potosí, and countless peaks of the Cordillera Real.
Our descent back to Chiar Khota takes about one hour, where we will settle in and spend the night beside the lake.
In total, today’s hiking time is 5–6 hours over a distance of 8.7 km.
On this day, we set out from Chiar Khota Lagoon (4,700 m / 15,419 ft).
After breakfast, we begin our trek toward Maria Llocko Camp (4,700 m / 15,419 ft).
During the hike, we will cross two high passes:
- The first at (5,000 m / 16,404 ft).
- The second at (4,900 m / 16,076 ft).
Along the way, we’ll enjoy views of the characteristic fauna and vegetation of the high Altiplano.
After approximately 8–9 hours of trekking (about 12 km), we will reach our second campsite at Maria Llocko, a beautiful location nestled at the base of the impressive west face of Huayna Potosí.
This day involves 8–9 hours of hiking over a distance of 12 km.
Today, our three hour trek will lead us along the western slopes of Huayna Potosí, gradually ascending toward a high mountain pass at (5,100 m / 16,732 ft.) As we approach the pass, we’ll enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding peaks and glacial valleys.
After crossing into the next valley, we continue our descent toward the end point of the trail, arriving around 10:30 a.m. There, our vehicle will be waiting to transfer us back to La Paz City (3,600 m / 11,811 ft). We will arrive in La Paz at approximately 12:30 p.m., marking the end of our day 3 journey and the conclusion of the trip.
Total hiking time for the day is about 3 hours, covering roughly 4 km of scenic Andean terrain.
