Instruction in Ice Climbing and Mountaineering Technique Fullday tour is done at 4850 meters high, at the base of the mountain Huayna Potosi called (Old Glacier).
This tour consists of a day tour, learning, practicing walking techniques on a glaciar with grampons and Ice climbing with classic ice axes and technical ice axes.
Physical Requirements
Ice Climbing at glacier of Huayna Potosi is physically demanding. For that reason is recommended for who will do it. Have good fitness, becasuse it will make you enjoy the day.

Best season for ice climbing
The best season to do ice climbing is between May and November, as this is the dry season in Bolivia, and will ensure optimal climbing conditions.
As it is at the base of the mountain, it is done all year round, including the rainy season.
Climbing Route
In ice climbing fullday tour, Once arrived at the glacier, a practice on mountaineering tecniques and walk on the glacier. then we go to the part, where there are ice walls to do a 90 degree climb. on ice walls between 10 meters and 20 meters high.

ITINERARY:
We will meet at our office at 8:30 AM and then travel in our private transport to the Huayna Potosi base camp, located at 4700 meters.
Once we arrive, we’ll enjoy lunch at the base camp before preparing our equipment for an exciting afternoon of practicing basic mountaineering techniques and ice climbing on the glacier. The walk to the glacier will take approximately 40 minutes.
Once we arrive at the glacier, we will begin with step-by-step instruction. We will start by learning how to use the appropriate equipment for mountain activities, followed by a lesson on climbing and walking techniques on the glacier. Then, we will take a brief walk on the glacier before culminating with an exciting ice climb on a wall that ranges from 10 to 20 meters in height.
