Death Road in La Paz – Bolivia. Is amazing biking ride (Yungas Road) dramatic and scenic. it is all downhill and it can be done in a fullday with the safety and security.
For a fullday trip of Death Road, We start at an altitude of 4700 m.a.s.l, close to the nearby peaks, such as Huayna Potosi and other nearby mountains in the Cordillera Central.
You will visit an informative session about safety and practice with your bike to find all the mechanical aspects of your trip.
as well as be ready to travel the 64 km with our expert guides.
First we will descend 31 km on a road surrounded by low clouds, through the amazing views, out of the corner of our eyes there are small villages and the nearby grazing flames. With stops to take pictures of the high cliffs, outcrops of rocks and lush green vegetation.
The so-called “Camino de la Muerte” was built for the prisoners in the 1930s, and many of the cyclists travel this route every day that has been named as the most dangerous road for organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank.
Along this route is subtropical, crossing along beautiful waterfalls to enjoy an incredible meal and rest in the pool.

ITINERARY:
7:30 AM – Departure from La Paz
We depart from the agreed meeting point or our office. The exact meeting point will be confirmed when you book your tour.
9:30 AM – Arrival at La Cumbre Pass (4,700 m / 15,400 ft)
Enjoy a hot drink while taking in the incredible mountain views. Your guide will explain the route, review essential safety instructions, and provide your bicycle and protective equipment for the descent.
Part One: The Asphalt Descent
9:30 AM – Downhill Ride to Unduavi
Begin your ride with an exciting 22 km (approximately 13.7-mile) descent along a winding paved road. Enjoy the spectacular scenery as we make our way toward Unduavi.
10:45 AM – Transfer to the Death Road Starting Point
At Unduavi, we load the bicycles onto our support vehicle and travel approximately 8 km uphill to the starting point of the Death Road section.
Part Two: The Legendary Death Road
11:15 AM – Begin the Death Road Descent
Get ready for the main adventure! Ride along the famous gravel road, navigating rocky and uneven terrain while enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
12:30 PM – Waterfall Stop at San Juan
Take a break near the beautiful waterfalls at San Juan and enjoy a light snack before continuing the ride.
1:45 PM – Rest Stop at Cerro Rojo
Pause for a refreshing drink of water, take a short break, and enjoy the scenery before completing the final stretch of the descent.
2:45 PM – Finish the Ride in Yolosa (1,200 m / 3,940 ft)
Congratulations! You’ve completed the Death Road mountain biking adventure. While our team cleans the bicycles and equipment, you’ll have time to relax and recover after the ride.
3:15 PM – Transfer to the Restaurant
We depart by vehicle for a nearby restaurant, approximately 20 minutes away.
3:45 PM – Lunch and Relaxation
Enjoy approximately 1.5 hours to have lunch, take a shower, and relax by the swimming pool before the return journey.
5:15 PM – Return Journey to La Paz
We begin the drive back to La Paz, enjoying the changing scenery along the way.
Approximately 8:30 PM – Arrival in La Paz
We arrive back in La Paz and drop you off at central of the city Sagarnaga street location, bringing your adventure to an end.
