Jiwaki is a Mountaineering and trekking tour operator in Bolivia. Jiwaki means beautiful in Aymara, the native language of the Bolivian Andean highlands. We created Jiwaki to share the beauty of the Bolivian Andes with you. We have a passion for mountains, trekking, and unique adventures. Our priority is sharing Bolivia with you.
We are a family, who was born in Una town. Located at the feet of the majestic Illimani (6439 meters) in Paz – Bolivia. (where we learned our first language Aymara).
From an early age we began to feel passion for the mountains and decided to work with tourists. We started working as muleteers and porters accompanying our father Mario Sullcata, who carried backpacks of climbers to Base and High Camp of Mountain Illimani from our town.
Later we decide to move to the city of La Paz, where we began to explore our Bolivian mountains. We continue working as a porter, cook, trekking guide and finally to be mountain guides with the certifications endorsed by our country, we had been worked many years for various tourist companies.
2019, with our experience we decided to create JIWAKI. To offer scenic, fun, and challenging trips; all while caring for your safety.
