    01

    Uyuni Salt Flats day tour

    To begin this Uyuni Salt Flats day tour, we take a bus from the city of La Paz the night before the tour starts, departing from the La Paz Bus Terminal.

     

      • La Paz → Uyuni - Overnight Bus Transportation
      • Departure from La Paz to Uyuni: 9:00 PM (approximately from the bus terminal: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ux8v9ZKUAJpQnSR16
        Prior logistical coordination with us is required.
      • Approximate arrival in Uyuni: 6:00 a.m. (the following day. Our staff will pick you up from the bus and take you to our office or the tour starting point. You will have free time until the tour begins.)

     

    1. Pick-Up and Start of the Tour – 10:30 AM

    We will begin the adventure by boarding a specially equipped 4x4 tourist vehicle to explore the Uyuni Salt Flats.

    1. Train Cemetery

    The first stop will be the famous Train Cemetery, a historic site where old locomotives from Bolivia’s mining era remain.

    Perfect for photography and learning about part of the country’s railway history.

    1. Colchani – Artisan Community

    We will continue to Colchani, a small village dedicated to salt processing and handicraft production, where you will:

    • Shop for souvenirs and local handicrafts
    • Discover products made from salt
    1. Entering the Uyuni Salt Flats

    Once inside the salt flats, we will visit several tourist attractions:

    • Salt Eyes
    • Dakar Monument
    • Flags Square
    • Salt Museum

    The immense white landscape allows for creative photography with unique optical effects and perspectives.

    1. Lunch in the Middle of the Salt Flats

    We will enjoy a tourist lunch in the middle of the Uyuni Salt Flats, surrounded by one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world.

    SEASONAL ACTIVITIES

    • Rainy Season (November to March)

    During this season, the salt flats display the famous mirror effect.

    Visits:

    • Salt sculptures

    Additional entrance fee: 20 Bs.

    • Dry Season (April to October)

    During these months, we visit the famous Incahuasi Island.

    Activities:

    • Short hike to the main viewpoint
    • 360° panoramic view of the salt flats
    • Observation of giant ancient cacti
    • Panoramic photography

    Additional entrance fee: 30 Bs.

    1. Photography Session and Sunset

    In the afternoon, we will enjoy a photography session taking advantage of the vastness of the salt flats, followed by snacks and one of the best sunsets in Bolivia.

    The sky, colors, and natural reflections create a unique and unforgettable spectacle.

    1. Return to Uyuni – 7:30 PM

    We will finish the tour by returning to the city of Uyuni to board the return bus to La Paz.

      • Departure from Uyuni to La Paz: approximately 9:00 PM
      • Approximate arrival in La Paz: 6:30 AM (next day, at the bus terminal) After that, you can continue your trip as planned.
