ITINERARY:

    La Paz (3600m. / 11811ft) - khotia Lagoon (4570m. / 14993ft) - AJWANI LAGOON (4610m. /15124ft.)

    We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00am and we will drive for around 4 hours out of the city and through the Andean highlands until we reach Khotia lagoon  (4570m. / 14993ft.)

    From Khotia lagoon we will start the trek. We start ascending to the Contador passage (4750 m. / 15583 ft.). Later we sescend to the valley near Surakhota lagoon and we continue through the hillside to get to AJWANI LAGOON (4610m. /15124 ft.) Where we will pass the night.

    This day  hiking time will be 4 - 5 hours  (8 km.)

    AJWANI LAGOON (4610m. /15124ft.) - Jurikhota lagoon (4700 m.  / 15419ft.)

    We will have breakfast at 8:00am

    On this day from AJWANI LAGOON (4610m. /15124ft.) - . we do hiking to Sistana Lagoon in the morning and later we cross Janchallani passage, located at (4900 m. / 16076 ft). And from there. we enjoy a breath taking view to peaks of cordillera real. After it we descend to the Jurikhota lagoon (4700 m.  / 15419ft.) we will set up our camp, at the lagoon shore, have  the night  there.

    This day  hiking time will be 4 - 5 hours  (7 km.)

    Jurikhota Lagoon (4700 m.  / 15419ft.) - Pico Austria (5350m. / 17552ft) - Chiar Khota Lagoon (4700 m.  / 15419ft. )

    8:00 am we will have breakfast

    On this day from Jurikhota Lagoon (4700 m.  / 15419ft.) . We begin hiking by lagoon shore, enjoying the reflection of the mountain in the lagoon. Later we go upward to the turquoise waters of the frozen lagoon  (4880 m.  / 16010 ft.)  From there we admire the left wing and the condor shaped head of Condoriri. Then we got to Austria peak 5350  meters / (17552ft) . the highest of the trek, and from Autria peak, we can see the entire shape of the Mountain Condoriri,(shape of a Condor with its wings spread wide), Lake Titicaca, the west face of Huayna Potosi, and numerous other peaks of the Cordillera Real. Later we descend to Chiakhota lagoon (4700 m.  / 15419ft.) . then + 30 minutes to Rinconada where our car is waiting us to back to La Paz City. arrival time to La Paz City 18:30 pm aprox.
    This day  hiking time will be 5 - 6 hours  (9 km.)

Clothing:

  • Base layers (thermal underwear) – moisture-wicking tops & bottoms
  • Mid layers – fleece jacket or wool sweater
  • Outer layer – waterproof and windproof jacket (Gore-Tex or similar)
  • Trekking pants – comfortable, quick-dry

CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT

The mountaineering and hiking tours that we offer are highly risky, the customers decides to take the tour

with their own experience and travel under our conditions.

1.-  Confirmation and payment:        

         After confirming the tour with payment

  • The confirmation is  valid for the date and time indicated on it.

The customer is responsible for the tour and must prevent factors that can make themselves sick or injure

that can cause to loss the trip

2.-  Tour cancellations :

       12 days  before trip day  30% penalty from total price.

       7 days  before trip day  45% penalty from total price,

       a day  before trip day    60% penalty from total price,

       on  departure  day    100% penalty from total price,

3.-  Postponements:

      7 days or more  before the tour day  30% penalty from total price,

       A day  before tour day  40% penalty from total price,

    on  departure  day    100% penalty from total price

5.- Insurance:

                The customer will make the tour on his/her own and full responsibility.

                The price does not include travel insurance against accident, life and medical expenses of any kind.

8.- Climatological Factors:

The customer is responsible for choosing his/her travel date.  If, because of bad weather, the tour can not be

completed. there is not refund.

9.- Equipment losses or damages during the tour:

      The customer is responsible for taking care of all the equipment that we provide. 

-   In case of damages or losses of any of the gear, the customer must pay for it at the end of the tour.
