ITINERARY:

Day 01 :
La Paz - Chullpas - Church of Curahuara de Carangas - Sajama Village – Geyser Field – natural hot springs - Return to La Paz

6:30 a.m.
We begin our journey from the vibrant city of La Paz  (3600m. /11,811 ft. )  heading west toward Sajama National Park (4,200 m / 13,780 ft). As we leave the city behind, we pass through El Alto, enjoying panoramic views of the Altiplano and the surrounding mountains.

9:20 a.m.
Arrival at the Chullpas of Curahuara de Carangas, ancient stone funerary towers built by pre-Incan cultures. These archaeological structures offer insight into the spiritual beliefs and burial traditions of ancient Andean civilizations.

10:20 a.m.
Visit to the Church of Curahuara de Carangas, often referred to as the “Sistine Chapel of the Altiplano.” Inside, we admire impressive colonial-era murals and frescoes dating back to the 17th century, which beautifully blend indigenous and Christian symbolism.

12:00 p.m. (approx.)
Arrival at Sajama Village, the highest village in Bolivia. Here we enjoy lunch, surrounded by breathtaking views of Nevado Sajama (6,542 m. / 21,463 ft), the highest mountain in the country.

1:00 p.m.
After lunch, we continue toward the Geyser Field, traveling through impressive high-altitude landscapes filled with native flora and fauna.

1:20 p.m.
Arrival at the Geyser Field, where we observe volcanic activity, steaming vents, and bubbling geysers. In the area, we can also appreciate the unique queñua trees, one of the highest-growing forests in the world.

2:30 p.m.
Visit to the natural hot springs, where we relax and enjoy a soothing bath in mineral-rich thermal waters, surrounded by the pristine scenery of Sajama National Park.

4:30 p.m.
After our relaxing experience, we begin our return journey to La Paz, feeling refreshed and revitalized.
